Rolando Lopez was called into the arms of our Lord on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the age of 54. Rolando was born in Laredo, Texas on March 10, 1968 to Valentin Lopez and Juana Hernandez Lopez. Rolando is reunited in Heaven with his Father Valentin Lopez; step-father Maxcimo Gonzales; mother-in-law Mary Ann Garcia; numerous Aunts and Uncles and his beloved Great Dane, Rodeo.

Rolando loved baseball and was a HUGE fan of the New York Yankees; he enjoyed spending time with his family, teasing his siblings, and of course, watching his favorite team. Rolando was loved deeply and will be truly missed by his beloved wife of 22 years Loretta Alcala Lopez; Mother Juana Lopez; son Joe Ochoa (Tina); son Edwin Ochoa (Cammy); son Alex Ochoa (Del); daughter Sara Lopez; son Otto Lopez (Gia); daughter Esmeralda Lopez (Andy); son Roland Lopez Jr. (Melanie); 12 grandchildren; siblings Ramiro Lopez (Dolores), Roberto Lopez (Oralia), Raul Lopez (Elizabeth), San Juana Lopez, Rosie Lopez (Lee Magallanez); Florinda Garcia (Eddie); Tony & Cynthia Esquivel; and numerous extended nieces, nephews, and family.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Castillo Funeral Home at 9:00am for departure on Thursday, June 23, 2022 for a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
