Roland "Doggie" Moran passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the age of 68. Roland was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and was a friend to many. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Spurs. Every game day Roland would have his remote, his 5 dogs and a beer by his side and ready to scream and holler at the tv. when the cowboys lost, he'd say "Pendejos next week". Roland was a very unique person, the type of person who didn't show emotion or affection. He'd say "Soy hombre" but despite this we know that Roland loved his family very much. His actions spoke louder than any words that can be said.  Roland especially loved his wife because she always put Roland's needs ahead of her own and even when he took his last breath his wife, Sandra, was by his side. The family has peace in knowing that Roland is no longer in pain. His body put up a good fight.  Roland had been going to dialysis for 13 years and his poor body deserved rest. Doggie is now in heaven with our Lord and his family that passed before him now reunited they are listening to oldies and rejoicing. The family would like to thank everyone who came by to visit him during his last days because this made him very happy. Our beloved "Doggie" will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him. Roland is reunited in heaven with his parents Ramiro and Felicitas Moran, sisters Juanita Gonzalez and Maria Morales, brothers Antonio Moran and Ramiro Moran Jr., daughters Maria T. Menjares and Felicitas Menjares Garcia and nephews Guadalupe "Speedy" Gonzalez and Mario Gonzalez, niece Julie Ann Moran Rodriguez. Roland is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 39 years Sandra Moran, children Juan Menjares, Mark Montez, Cindy Menjares and Pat Montalbo, stepchildren Tina Marie Garcia and Vincent Rene Garcia III, brother Antonio Moran, sisters Gloria Moran Gonzalez and Marta Moran plus 21 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
