Ronald Glenn Hartman, 73, husband of Bertha Villarreal, went to be with the Lord Sunday night, August 6, 2023, at his residence in Lakehills, Texas. He was born on March 15, 1950,  in Mt. Carroll, Illinois, a son the late Leila and Alfred Hartman.

Ronald was a proud US Army veteran who served active duty for 34 years beginning in the Vietnam era. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football; a Chicago Bears fan, and baseball; a fan of the Chicago Cubs. As a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, working at his property in Lakehills, Texas brought him tremendous satisfaction. Ronald was a loving husband and father, always ready to provide support and guidance. As a grandfather he loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, bringing a smile to their faces. He will be missed but remembered forever by all those who knew and loved him.

Family members include his wife of 20 years, Bertha Villarreal; children, Joseph Hartman (Rosa), Lisa Hartman, and Trisha Hartman (Jonathan); 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am for visitation and a Chapel service will be conducted at 9:00 am. A formal funeral procession will depart at 10:00 am for a committal service with military honors in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:00 am.
