Rosa Elia Blanco passed away on May 14, 2023 at the age of 82. She was born in Colombia, Nuevo Leon Mexico on December 9, 1940.

She will be remembered for the love and care she showed to her only daughter and grandchildren. Rosa worked as a chef for many years. She loved cooking for the family and will be remembered for her delicious menudo. She loved making tamales alongside her daughter and granddaughters. Her other pastime was playing loteria with the family, while her great grandchildren ran around the house. She will also be remembered for her candor. She was straight to the point and frank with all her advice.

She is preceded in death by her husband Basilio R. Blanco. Her mother and father along with her sisters and brothers.

Rosa is loved and will be missed by her daughter Olga Sanchez (Jose Luis); grandchildren Rosa Caballero (Aurelio), Lluvia Zamarron (Omar) and Jose Luis Sanchez (Christina); great grandchildren Omar and Michael Zamarron, Jace Sanchez; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Wela you will forever be missed.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday May 24th, 2023 at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart the funeral home in procession on Thursday May 25th at 10:00am for a 10:30am Funeral Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
