Obituary

Rosa "Rosie" I. Santos, born December 1, 1971, was called home to be with our Lord on April 27, 2022 at the age of 50. Rosie was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 27 years, Pablo santos, Jr; children, Valerie Santos, Yadira Santos (Jorge Bautista) and Paul Santos; parents Rito Cardenas and Mercedes Cardenas; siblings, Blanca Favella (Richard), Jaime Cardenas (Martha) and Jeanette Cardenas(David) as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

Born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, as a child Rosie was just like any other loving and happy child. Being the kind-hearted caring person she was, Rosie often was chased after by her father for sneaking steaks out from his store to feed the local stray animals. As well as almost causing her parent's a heart attack, by climbing 30ft up into a tree, to grab one of her most favorite fruits in the world, figs.
She graduated from Fox Tech H.S. in 1990. Rosie met the love of her life, Pablo Santos Jr. right out of high school and married in 1994. For 15 years, she worked at Parental Child Inc. where she touched and changed many families lives. Rosie loved working with "her children" as she called them, on a daily basis. Rosie loved nature, camping, the ocean and animals, specifically her favorites, turtles, cardinals, her "baby" pug Dug, Daisy, and Sophie. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Rosie would light up rooms wherever she went. Rosie loved and was loved by everyone she met. Her laugh and smile were gifts from God which we enjoyed whenever she was near. Rosie would always say that if you have JESUS and Family, you have everything. Her most important lesson she left behind to her family, was to follow God, always. Rosie will be remembered as the funny, strong-willed, courageous, kind, Godly, loving and beautiful woman she was. She is missed very much by her family and loved ones.
