Rosa Delia Ramirez Santellano
January 31, 1943 – November 30, 2023
Rosa Santellano entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the age of 80 years old. We celebrate her as a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. We will keep her spirit alive with our fondest and most cherished memories.
She was born in Laredo, Texas on January 31, 1943 to Marcelino Mendoza Ramirez and Juanita Cortez Ramirez. She lived in Snyder, Texas growing up but eventually moved to her permanent home in San Antonio with her family. She was the second oldest of five siblings.
Rosa came from very humble beginnings and her parents instilled in her the importance of faith, family, and hard work. She started her work career at the young age of twelve to help support her family. She worked various jobs throughout her life that included everything from food service to sales. She became a mother at the age of nineteen. Her children were important to her. As a young mother, her life was centered on God and family. She had three sons and one daughter. While her spirituality and religion were always important, her strong faith and commitment to God were her focus the latter years of her life.
Rosa was preceded in death by her eldest sister, Maria R. Reyes and younger brother, George Antonio Ramirez. She is survived by her two younger sisters, Julia R. Reyes (Margarito) and Maria Socorro R. Hilario; son, Rogelio Lozano, Jr (Amanda), Henry Lozano, Daniel Lozano (Marivel), and her daughter, Deborah M. Teahl (Robert), nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
With our Lord's Promise, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:14). May you rest in God's Kingdom until we meet again. Godspeed!
