Rosa P. Torres was called home by the Lord on November 3, 2022, at the blessed age of 95. She was born in Lockhart, Texas on December 28, 1926. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus C. Torres; son, Jesse Torres, Jr; daughters Yolanda Barrientes and Linda Cardenas. She lived a beautiful and full life. She is survived by her living children, Mary Alice (Robert) Huron, Irma (James) Sandoval, Sylvia (Martin) Diaz; Diane (Frances) Torres; Nenette (Frank) Madla; Jessica (Misty) Hodge; Crystal (Daniel) Zapata; Ruben (MaryJane) Vicencio and Nando Barbosa; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Rosa was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a devoted wife for 77 years and supported her husband's military career, a World War II Veteran from the United States Army.  She served as a Supervisor in the Environmental Management Section at Rodeway Inn. She enjoyed Sunday family gatherings, gambling at Casinos with her daughters and spending time with all her grandchildren. In 2018, she and her husband celebrated their 75 ^th wedding anniversary with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 3 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. A funeral procession will depart at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, for a 11:30 a.m. mass at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
