In Loving Memory of Rosalinda De La Garza Cedillo

Rosalinda De La Garza Cedillo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 86.

Rosalinda was born on February 11, 1940, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, to Lucas and Esperanza De La Garza, and grew up in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila. At just 13 years old, she moved to Eagle Pass, Texas, where she worked to help support her family. She later moved to San Antonio, where she worked as a nanny for many years and then met the love of her life, Juan Cedillo. They married on September 10, 1966, and shared nearly 60 years of marriage, building a loving home and family together.

Rosalinda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and loved ones. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, and visiting casinos. She loved making memories with the people she cared about, and those special moments will always be treasured.

She is survived by her loving husband, Juan Cedillo; daughters, Juanita Fierro (Luis) and Rosi Villarreal (Mike); grandchildren, Belen Mendoza, Viviana Fierro, Roman Fierro, and Michael Lee Villarreal; brothers, Mario, Juan Jose (Melinda), and Oscar De La Garza; sisters, Edilia Guajardo and Norma De La Garza; and sisters-in-law, Maria Cedillo and Esther Cedillo.

Rosalinda was preceded in death by her parents, Lucas and Esperanza De La Garza; brothers, Jaime De La Garza and Lucas De La Garza; sisters, Elva Reyna, Margarita Gonzalez, Dora Ellia Garcia, and Maria Elena Fernandez; her mother-in-law, Antonia Cedillo; as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Rosalinda lived a life filled with strength, love, compassion, and humility. She was a beautiful example of kindness, love, and devotion to family, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and all whose hearts she touched. Her love, memory, and legacy will live on in each of us.

Rosalinda De La Garza Cedillo, amada esposa, madre, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga, falleció el 20 de agosto de 2026, a la edad de 86 años, dejando un gran vacío en los corazones de todos los que la amaron.

Rosalinda nació el 11 de febrero de 1940 en Allende, Coahuila, México, hija de Lucas y Esperanza De La Garza, y creció en Nueva Rosita, Coahuila. Desde muy joven demostró la fortaleza y dedicación que la caracterizarían toda su vida. A los 13 años se fue a vivir a Eagle Pass, Texas, donde comenzó a trabajar para ayudar a su familia. Más adelante, se fue a vivir a San Antonio, donde trabajó como niñera y conoció al amor de su vida, Juan Cedillo. Se casaron el 10 de septiembre de 1966 y durante casi 60 años compartieron una vida juntos, formando un hogar lleno de amor y una hermosa familia.

Para Rosalinda, su mayor felicidad era estar rodeada de las personas que amaba. Disfrutaba cocinar para su familia, viajar, ir de compras y, por supuesto, visitar los casinos. Pero más que nada, disfrutaba compartir cada uno de esos momentos con sus seres queridos.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Juan Cedillo; sus hijas, Juanita Fierro (Luis) y Rosi Villarreal (Mike); sus nietos, Belen Mendoza, Viviana Fierro, Roman Fierro y Michael Lee Villarreal; sus hermanos, Mario, Juan Jose (Melinda) y Oscar De La Garza; sus hermanas, Edilia Guajardo y Norma De La Garza; y sus cuñadas, Maria Cedillo y Esther Cedillo.

Rosalinda fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Lucas y Esperanza De La Garza; sus hermanos, Jaime De La Garza y Lucas De La Garza; sus hermanas, Elva Reyna, Margarita Gonzalez, Dora Ellia Garcia y Maria Elena Fernandez; su suegra, Antonia Cedillo; así como sus cuñados y cuñadas.

Rosalinda vivió con fortaleza, humildad y un profundo amor por su familia. La extrañaremos profundamente, pero su amor, sus enseñanzas y los hermosos recuerdos que nos dejó permanecerán siempre en nuestros corazones.
