Rosita G. Cruz, 77, wife of Felix R. Cruz, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2023, at her residence in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on March 29, 1946, in Lima OH. a daughter of the late Amelia and Jose P. Guillen.
Rosita loved to dance, and she loved her oldies. She had an incredible green thumb and was content outside gardening and taking care of her plants. Rosita had a beautiful heart made of gold, her generosity was boundless as she would help anyone with support, encouragement, and guidance. Her love and caring ways will remain in our hearts for all eternity.
In addition to her parents, Jose P. Guillen and Amalia Guillen, she is also reunited in heaven with her son, Sonie Cruz; grandchildren, Sonie Cruz, Jr., Angela Cruz, Nathan Cruz, Richard Ortiz and Felix Rangel, Jr.; In-laws, Felipe Cruz and Victoria Cruz; and siblings, Candelaria Gomez, Jose Guillen Jr, Robert Guillen, and Margie Guillen.
Rosita is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Felix Cruz Sr.; children, Rosemarie Martinez, Felix Cruz Jr., Leticia Davila, Phillip Cruz, Gabriel Cruz and Vanessa Cruz; siblings, Francis Maldonado, Juan Guillen, Ernest Guillen, Lydia Alonzo and Petra Trout; 35 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow with a graveside service at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
