Rosita Imelda
Nelson Padilla
August 10, 1971 – October 3, 2023
Rosita Imelda Nelson Padilla was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 and gained her wings at the blessed age of 52. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 10, 1971 being the 3rd oldest out of 4 children to Pablino Nelson and Andrea Sanchez. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents. Creating a big family with her husband Eduardo Padilla Sr. will always be the greatest gift she could receive. At the age of 19, she was blessed to become a mother to 4 sons and 2 daughters (accompanied by their spouses); Andrea Marie Garcia, Eduardo Padilla, Jr. (Nikki), Ashley Denise Padilla (Joey), Miguel Angel Padilla, Sr. (Amanda), Juan Alberto Padilla, Ulysses Raymond Padilla (Kelsie) and at the age of 37, she was blessed to become a grandma to 5 granddaughters and 7 grandsons; Isaiah, Liliana, Jalena, Jayden, Julian, Joseph, Miguel Jr., Adelina, Aliyana, Benjamin, Aniylah and Ezekiel. Only God knew how strong our mom was when she was given the biggest challenge of her life, battling Breast Cancer. Not only did she accept this challenge in 2010, but she also came out on top and conquered the battle in 2016. After entering remission, the cancer returned and instead of giving up hope or losing faith, our mom was ready to fight once again. Even though she was at war with her cancer, having a huge heart like hers, she would always do her best to help her family in any way that she could. 13 years later of fighting and pushing to win, it took more than not 1, not 2, not 3, or 4, but 5 different cancers to get her to the finish line into entering her forever lovely afterlife in the sky. Our mom may be gone, but to us she will always be the Real Champion, our Strong Warrior. She will forever be loved and missed not only by her family, but also by her friends and anyone who had the opportunity to meet an amazing woman like our mom Rosita. God created an amazing woman to do her duty on this earth and she definitely earned her halo and wings at the end.
