Ruben H.
Alvarado
July 3, 1946 – December 29, 2019
Ruben H "Biff" Alvarado entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 73. He was born on July 3, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas. Biff was a graduate of Edgewood High School, he served four years in the United States Air Force before retiring from the City of San Antonio Police Department as a Transportation Inspector after 30 yrs of dedicated service.
Biff was a devoted husband to our mom, Virgie, and he never left her side through her illnesses. He always made sure mom was taken care of, even putting aside his own health. Dad was a proud and stern man, we are forever grateful for the values he raised us on. We can only hope to make him proud as we teach our own children the same faith, values and devotion. Dad will be greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing he was welcomed by Papi, Mami, Charlie and Uncle Willie. We gained a strong guardian angel on our side and we are eternally blessed. We won't say goodbye, but until we meet again. We will forever love you and will always keep you in our hearts. Thank you Biff.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Cruz F. Alvarado and Elisa Hernandez Alvarado and sisters Yolanda and Estella Alvarado. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 52 years Virginia R. Alvarado; children Ruben R. Alvarado (Amanda), Veronica A. Alvarado(Matthew Hernandez), and Victoria Marie Alvarado Chapa (Xavier); grandchildren Ruben Ryan Alvarado, Aaron Price Alvarado, Maricruz Chapa, and Marisol Chapa; siblings Mario Alvarado and Hector Alvarado, along with numerous extended family and friends.
