Obituary

Ruben Garcia Andrade, born August 29, 1941 was called home to be with our Lord on March 19, 2022 surrounded by family. Ruben served in the National Guard, then joined the US Army and served in the early years of the Vietnam War.  His occupation was  machine gunner and marksman.  When he got out of the Army he worked for Cardell Cabinets as the Maintenance Supervisor.  If any equipment broke, he would be right there fixing it. In fact, when they did not know why a machine did not work he would problem solve to fix it, sometimes creating new equipment from scratch.  He worked for Cardell until his retirement.  He loved working on vehicles, whether it be a car or a truck and he like driving them fast.  He also fished and hunted.  When he fished he would clean the fish right there and start cooking when he was at the coast in Corpus. He and Grandpa Julian would go once a week during the summer to fish on a boat. He was preceded in death by his parents: Andrea and Julian Andrade. Siblings:  Dora Castillo and Rudy Andrade. Children: Juan Andrade and Edward Andrade. Ruben is loved and will be missed by: His wife:  Rosalinda Andrade.  His siblings:  Ernest Andrade (Cecilia), Eleanor Andrade Cruz (Apolonio Vazquez) and Margaret Andrade Peters.  His children: Reuben Andrade Jr (Audrey), Julia Moore (James), Tracy Andrade (Juan Villanueva), Andrea Andrade, Richard Andrade, Ashley Andrade (Ryan Torres) and George Andrade and Steve Andrade.  Ruben is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

God will make a way when it seems there is no way…Jesus saith unto him.  I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.   John 14:6

He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.    Psalm 147:3

The family appreciates and would like to extend a special thank you to Tracy Andrade (Juan Villanueva).  They took Ruben in and cared for him for more than 10 years.  When Ruben needed anything Tracy would make sure he was cared for.
