Ruben Martinez Bobadilla passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on February 21st, 2026. He was born on October 25th, 1948 in Lauro de Villar Nombre de Dios, Durango, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Dalia Rodriguez, his parents Francisco Javier and Guadalupe Martinez, and his brother Jesus.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Irma Moreno de Martinez, his five sons Victor & wife Zoila, Francisco & wife Mirna, Jose & wife Elizabeth, Ruben & wife Lupe, and Herick & wife Candace, his 3 daughters Blanca Garcia & husband Agustine, Martha Ortiz & husband Joel and Endie De La Cruz & husband Noe, 29 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Ruben's strong work ethic developed early, when at the age of 10 years old he began helping his father tend the cattle and livestock, which blossomed into a lifelong love of roping and ranching.

His perseverance culminated in the migration of his family of 6 to the United States, giving them access to better opportunities than he had.

His happy-go-lucky spirit and love for his community touched the lives of everyone around him and his joyful presence will be dearly missed.
