Obituary

I n Memory of Ruben Mendoza
8/8/1952 – 9/24/2021

Ruben Mendoza transcended into the presence of Jehovah on September 24, 2021 at the age of 69. While with us here, Ruben was a faithful servant of Jesus, passionately devoted to his family, and deeply committed to the pastoral calling and mission on his life. He is survived by his wife, Dora A. Mendoza; his daughters Dora Smith, Perla Grochowski (Richard), Esmeralda Lambert (Scott), and Jessica Peña (Marcus); his grandchildren Shoshanna Grochowski, Nathaniel Smith, Oswin Grochowski, Alitza Grochowski, Seth Lambert, and Azriela Grochowski; and his siblings Thelma Mendoza de Guerrero and Rafael Mendoza. He is preceded in passing by his brothers René Mendoza and Rodolfo Mendoza

Ruben loves serving the only God, the Almighty Jehovah, who has redeemed us by the sacrifice of His Son, Yeshua HaMashia, on the cross. Working in God's wonderful and magnificent kingdom is his passion, his hobby, his entire reason for being. It is wonderful to know that he continues to do so in our Father's home in heaven. We shall see him soon and jointly continue rejoicing in doing God's will in heaven. He will be missed terribly here, but his legacy of preaching the Good News Gospel will live on in the countless lives that have been touched by his faithful sharing. While we are grieved, we are also blessed. He is, of course, in jubilant celebration with the Messiah he loves so dearly.

A memorial service for Ruben will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home in San Antonio, TX on Wednesday, October 6  at 6:00 PM. Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and following the memorial service until 8:00 PM.
