Ruben Rios Sr. passed away peacefully on May 5, 2022, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was  80  years old. He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on August 24, 1941.

Ruben had a passion for music. He traveled around the world doing what he loved, playing the accordion and singing.

Ruben is preceded in death by his wife, Hortencia Rios and son, Jose Rios.

Ruben is loved and will be missed by his children: San Juanita De La Cruz (Reynaldo); Ruben Jr. (Barbara); daughter-in-law Cynthia, Martin (Veronica); Dagoberto (Aracelly); and Juan (Valerie); The Westbrook & Lopez family; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Wesam Aziz, Hope Hospice and the entire Estates at Shavano Park Rehabilitation Center staff for the exceptional care Ruben received.
