We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Wela, great grandmother and Life partner Ruby Herrera on October 9th, 2026. Ruby was surrounded by her loved ones.

Ruby was one of a kind, a character, nurturer, mama bear to her children and a protector of her family. She loved different genres of music, and loved to dance on her own or with her fur babies Paris and Rusty. Disney movies were her favorite and she loved to watch Monday night Wrestling with Joe. She proudly dedicated her life to caring for her children, grandkids, great grandkids and her partner Joe Reyes. She loved to be in the kitchen and cook for her family and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her mother Guadalupe Cazares, father Ramiro Silva and brother Joe Cazares. Along with other family and friends.

She is survived by her children Brenda ( Gabriel), Jolynn (Dez), Michael, Crystal and her life Partner Joe Reyes. Grandchildren Brianna (Mario), Naomi, Kimberly (Julian), Gabriel Jr., Arieanna ( Demi), Angeliq, Dezmond, Gilbert III, Liliana, Caleb and Carlo. Great Grandchildren Roman, Amaris, Mario Jr and her sisters.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through her family. Her love will forever remain in our hearts.
