Ruby J. Santellano

Ruby J. Santellano, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, after a brief illness. Born in Des Plaines, Illinois, Ruby moved to San Antonio, Texas, with her parents, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and passion.

Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Leonora Santellano; father, Pedro Santellano; brother, Pablo "Paul" Santellano; and brother, Arturo "Art" Santellano.

She is survived by her loving siblings: sister Dolores "Lola" Ramirez (spouse Robert Ramirez), brothers Domingo "Mingo" Santellano (spouse Mary Santellano), Carl Santellano (spouse Cruz Santellano), and Jose "Joe" Santellano.

Ruby will be deeply missed by her large extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

Ruby had a true passion for the culinary arts, delighting family and friends with her baking and cooking. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Cowboys. Ruby enjoyed trips to casinos with family and was an avid animal lover who always took care of her loved ones first.
