Rudy
Castro
May 23, 1962 – January 2, 2023
Rudy will be dearly missed by us all. He had this awesome spirit about him, with a smile that would light up a room. Some of the things that made him happy were to smoke his cigarettes while listening to classic rock music, watching Horror/Vampire movies from time to time, and trying not to get caught shopping at the Goodwill so he could prank his family and tell them he bought them something nice from Macy's. He adored his family and was grateful for his friends he had throughout life. Everyone loved him! He also enjoyed making his wife Aurora, AKA Buddy, laugh daily; and enjoyed picking on and telling jokes to his bonus daughter, Monica. He also cherished visiting his mom and meeting her for lunch from time to time. His BFF was his dog, Charlie, who, sadly, has been waiting for him to come home at the front door of his bedroom. Rudy was always in pain, but you would never know because he hid that pain behind his gorgeous smile. God saw his selflessness and granted him mercy to come home. Now we cherish and celebrate his life. We will all miss him dearly. We are thankful for the 60 years we got to enjoy him. Till we meet again Rudy, we love you to the moon and back.
He is reunited in heaven with his father, Richard Castro; stepfather, Pedro P. Serna; siblings, Joey Saldivar, Anthony Castro and sister-in-law, Leticia Castro, Javier Serna, and Roland Serna. Rudy will be dearly missed by his wife of 20+ Aurora Torres (Buddy); mother, Gloria Carrillo; bonus children, Monica Gonzales, Sonny Torres (Susan), Courney Goodman, and Brandon Clark; siblings, Roy Saenz (Rosie), Jon Castro (Hortencia), Cynthia A. Castro, Pete Serna (Liz), Debora L Castro (Frank), and Patricia Serna, as well as extended family members and friends.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a prayer service to begin at 6:00pm. Services to conclude Sunday evening.
