RUDY M. MEJIA born July 4,1960 was called to be with the Lord on August 12,2020. Rudy was a beloved Son, brother, father and husband. He was reunited in heaven with his Father Geronimo Mejia and his Mother Jovita Mata Mejia. as well as his Paternal Grandparents Gregorio and Pabla Mejia and Maternal grandparents Pedro and Victoria Mata. His Close friends Danny Saldana, Danny Cruz, Israel Vasquez, Luis Garza. As well as many Aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Rudy's Greatest gift was his talent in music He enjoyed listening to it playing it and writing it. One of Rudy's Proudest accomplishment Was spending 12 years as a Sunliner. With Sunny Ozuna and the Sunliner band as a Trombonist. He excelled at the Trombone and the trumpet and won awards and recognition for his talents. He played with many well-known bands throughout San Antonio, such as Abel Hernandez and Toma Band, Festival, Uptown band, Karisma and Jesse Chuy Gonzalez and company just to name a few
Rudy was loved by many and will be missed dearly for his kind and loving heart and his funny sense of humor. Rudy is survived by His Wife Patricia Martinez Mejia and there 2 fur babies "Meelo and "Oohdy" As well as two brothers George Mejia (Nancy) and Eddie Mejia (Byrd). The loves of his life Four girls and one son. Daughter Patricia Cardenas (David Sr.) and children David Jr. and Celine. Daughter Annalee Asuncion (George) and fur baby "The Maxster'. Daughter Evelyn Yousef (Brian) and grandsons Isaiah and Isaac. Son Rudy Ramos and grandson Azariah. And Daughter Jeri Carrillo (Steven) and 3 Granddaughter's.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Sunny Ozuna and the Sunliner band, William Cervantes, Marcos Martinez, Jimmy Alanis, Agapito Rodriguez Jr., Johnny Gonzalez, Billy Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez, Fernando Lopez, Joe Perez, Eric Pastrano, Marty Garza, Rene Hernandez, Carlos Salazar, Alex Garza, Joel Perez, Benny Reyna, Robert Rivas, Rigoberto, Ruben, Ricardo and Rafael Gonzales. Among many other friends.
Rudy's services will be held on Saturday August 29,2020 at 10:00am at Castillo mortuary 520 N. General McMullen Dr.
