Samuel H. Rodriguez Jr. passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 60.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty years Olga Rodriguez; his children, Samuel V. Rodriguez III (Valerie Taylor), Candace M. Rodriguez, and Abel Rodriguez (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Carmen M. Rodriguez, Samuel R. Rodriguez IV, Jordin Lozano, Nekko Rodriguez, as well as his 8 additional grandchildren; his siblings, Gracie Saavedra (Sergio), Ruben Rodriguez (Maria), Linda Cruz (Aurelio), and Sandra Gonzales (Ruben), in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

Samuel was born on September 6, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas. He accomplished so many incredible things in life but his family that he loved so much was his proudest. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds as he was someone who would give to anyone in need.  He inspired those around him to be a better person. He loved his family and especially loved the memories made together with them. Samuel brought immense joy to those around him. We loved his caring ways, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary/prayer service to begin at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 10:00 am at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church followed by interment at San Fernando II Cemetery.
