Samuel S. Hernandez was called home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born on May 26,1937, in Spoffard, Texas.
Samuel was survived by his loving wife, Teresa G Hernandez; Daughters, Sonia A Luna and Sofia Hernandez; Stepson, Jesse Anthony Gonzalez; Grandson, Lawrence R Castillio Jr; Godson, Frank Viesca; Sisters, Gloria Garcia and Mercy Hernandez. Preceded in death by his parents, Ricarda and Fransisco Hernandez; Brothers, Florentino, Edward, Roy and Martin Hernandez; Sister, Mary Parra.
Samuel was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a carpenter, enjoyed wood working, and a hardworking man. He always kept busy. He was either attending to his plants, cleaning the yard, feeding his birds or working on his next project to build -- a table, bench or a cabinet. Samuel was a very strong man, and never asked for help. He was a good man, very humorous, as he always laughed at the little things. Samuel will be missed tremendously by all his family and friends.
