San Juana Bautista Rojas, to many "Juanita" passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 73 years old. She was born in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon Mexico on October 30, 1951, to Leonarda Carmona Gomez and Victoriano Bautista Torres.

San Juana grew up on a ranch with her family farming with her mother, father, 6 brothers and 1 sister. She left her native country at a young age and lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years before moving back to Laredo, Mexico for a short period of time then finally residing in San Antonio, Texas. She worked for several companies as a seamstress over many years before becoming disabled and retiring early. Despite this, San Juana was not herself if she wasn't working. She began working with the Alexander family, where she not only worked for 15 years but was very loved. This later became her second family where she made many memories.

She was married for 25 years to Claudio Palomo Presas from January 19, 1971, and later divorced on March 31, 1996. They had 5 children during these years.

San Juana is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Doroteo Bautista Carmona, Guadalupe Bautista Carmona, Luciano Bautista Carmona, Martin Bautista Carmona.

Survivors include daughters Norma Medellin, Maria Granados, Claudia Presas, Karina Presas and her only son Jorge Presas. San Juana also leaves behind her only sister Velia Bautista Nava, two brothers Jesus Bautista Carmona, Eduardo Bautista Carmona and 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

San Juana is loved and will be missed by so many whose hearts she touched in many ways, not just family but extended family, friends and neighbors.
