Obituary

It is with profound sorrow to announce the loss of our beautiful Sandra Ann Hernandez, who departed this life peacefully on the early morning of August 20th, 2026. Sandra was born on May 3rd, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas; She was called on by the Lord at the age of 63.

Our Sandra was a strong woman led by faith, with a spirit like no other; her light that she brought onto this world is irreplaceable and will forever be in our hearts. Her laughter lit up the room and the passion for the people she loved is eternal; She loved to dance unapologetically, she loved to sing her heart out, she loved to be a grandma, she loved shopping sprees, she loved to ride with the wind on Harleys with her husband, and she loved to give help to anyone she could out of the pure kindness of her heart. Above all, she loved to be a mother. Our lovely Sandra was everything and more.

She is accompanied by her sisters: Rachel Reyes and Lorraine Rios; Her brother: Vincente (Beatle) Rios; and her father, Blas Rios. Our Sandra is survived and loved dearly by her husband: Randy Hernandez; Her children: Sharon Jessica Hernandez, Jesse Jake Hernandez, Janette Marie Perez, and Sonnie Joe Tovar; Her step-children: Daisy Hernandez, Kimberly Hernandez, and Randy Hernandez Jr; Her son in law: Joseph Sergio Perez; Her daughter in law Brianna Hernandez; Her mother: Gloria Diaz; Her mother in law: Aurora Garza; Her father in law: Martin Hernandez; Her grandchildren: Mila, Sloane, Stella, Leah, Leila, Luna, Lilah, Randy (III), Layla, and Ysabel; Her siblings: Josephine Rios, Darlene Rios, and Richard Diaz; Along with cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

We invite everyone who had the blessing of knowing and loving Sandra to join us in celebrating her life and honoring the cherished memories she left behind;

Rosary will be on September 1st, at 6:00 PM at Castillo's Funeral Home 520 N. Gen McMullen Dr. (Rosary will start at 6:00 PM); Mass will be the following day, September 2nd, at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church 152 Florencia Ave. (Lunch will follow Mass in the hall near the church).
