Sandra D. Martinez was born on October 23, 1961, and was called home to be with our Lord on September 2, 2024, at the age of 62. Her final moments were spent peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Sandra was a caring, devoted, and a loving mother. She was strong-willed, and always there when needed, offering love, support and wisdom. Her grandchildren, grandma's angels, were the light of her life. She treasured and embraced every moment with them. Known for her energetic personality and bright smile, she will be dearly missed by all who know her. Sandra loved music, dancing, cooking, and the San Antonio Spurs. Her favorite past times were watching Let's Make A Deal and the Price is Right. Her family asks that she be remembered for the
joy she brought to others in life and not by the sadness of her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Maria DeHoyos; her siblings, Mary Helen DeHoyos Salas, Silvia G. DeHoyos, Tony DeHoyos Jr., and Josefa DeHoyos Farias; granddaughter,
Gabriella Lopez. Sandra is survived by her loving children, Gabriel Lopez (Brenda), April L. Sanchez (David), Sandra J. Martinez, Javier Martinez Jr., and Rene Valle; siblings, Guadalupe Ramos (Juan Miguel) and Orlando DeHoyos (Mary Esther); grandchildren, Amber C. Hernandez, Maddox J. Tena, Emma B. Tena, Joshua R. Guerrero Jr., Isaiah Lopez, Avianna J. Martinez, Isabella Lopez, Elijah Lopez, Aubrey A. Farias, Julian Lara, Joseph Jimenez, and Mia L. Sanchez; fur baby, Sadie, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home. Cremation to follow at a later date.
