Obituary

Santiago Luis Davila passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026. He was loved by his loving family and friends. Santiago was 59 years old. He was born in Brownfield, Tx, on March 20, 1967.

He served in the United States Airforce and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Santiago was a graduate of Brownfield High school in 1985. He enlisted in the Airforce during his final year of school. He later earned his Associate’s Degree from the University of Maryland from the Airforce. When Santiago Honorably left the Airforce, he met Stella and they married in 1994. They spent 32 years together until the Lord called his name. He worked around heavy equipment the majority of his life until he decided it was time to relax. Santiago enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. Their fishing trips consisted of throwing a fishing pole at nearby lakes and rivers. He enjoyed firing up a grill and cooking for everyone in the family. He didn’t mind the weather. Gardening was another hobby that Santiago enjoyed doing. Most precious to Santiago was his faith in God. He will be missed tremendously. Santiago is loved and will be missed by his daughter Monica Davila, his sons, Miguel S. Davila (Nayeli), Mark A. Davila, Santiago L. Davila Jr, Gabriel M. Davila, and 8 beautiful grandchildren. He is loved by his parents, Candelario and Guadalupe Davila; along with his brothers and sisters: Rosalita Garcia (Jocque), Andres Davila (Juanita), Pedro Davila, Guadalupe Davila (Sandra), Candelario Davila Jr, and Maria Collins (Jonathan); and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
