He graduated from Redondo High School in Redondo Beach, California.  He returned to San Antonio to marry the love of his life: Eva Dominguez.  He first met his wife when he delivered bread to Dominguez Grocery Store on Dahlgreen Avenue, which was located on the Westside of San Antonio.  His marriage lasted a total of 58 years.

Santos Adames Jr. was a respectful son, a loving husband and a responsible father to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He was a respected man in his community and loved by many who knew him personally. He was extremely competitive, but his legacy will best be known for the compassion he extended toward all people he encountered. In their hour of need, he was unselfish and very charitable. He worked for Stanley's Icehouse for over 30 years and finished his career with the City of San Antonio.  He was a true entrepreneur and established his own commercial business named Las Tejanita's/El Puesto located on the Southside of San Antonio.  Santos Adames Jr. loved to hunt, fish and most favorably play golf every chance he could get.

He will be missed by his family and friends. However, his spirit and contributions will live on through the foundation he left for his children and loved ones to build upon.
