Santos Chacon Ortiz, born October 20,1934, in Devine, Texas, went to be with Lord on August 31, 2024, at the age of eighty-nine.

Santos C. Ortiz retired after 33 years of service with (CPS) City Public Service. Santos announced his retirement on December 30,1994, to enjoy a Leisurely Life. Santos was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, great-grandfather, and great great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his first-born boy; granddaughter Zoey Ochoa; parents Samuel Brown Ortiz and Christina E. Chacon; Wife Lilia B. Ortiz, and daughter Diana Portales.

He is loved and will be missed by his children Santos Ortiz Jr.(Nancy), Jose Angel Ortiz, Olga Gloria Gonzalez; grandchildren Alejandro, Jose Samuel Ortiz, Abel Alderete (Sandra), Melissa Alderete (Joe Ramirez), Roxanne Galvan (Rick Galvan), Anthony Rodriguez (Rebecca), Richard Munoz, Nicolas Munoz (Katherine), Adriana Ortiz (Edward), and Hilda Ortiz; sisters Jesusa Gonzales, Elvira Aguilar, and Ramona Chacon; Son-in-law Ismael Portales; numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the Trinity Hospice and Staff and to the ABODE Staff and Volunteers for their compassionate and loving care.
