Obituary

Santos P. Trejo, Jr. passed away peacefully on April 10, 2020, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.  He was 88 years old, born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 12, 1931.

Santos served 3 years in the Texas National Guard and 8 years military service in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He was assigned to food services; completed his training at Quartermaster Corps in California and transferred to New Jersey as a cook for the officers.  After 2 years active military service he transferred to Army Reserve and was Honorably Discharged upon completing his 8 year service.

In 1952, Santos P. Trejo, Jr., married his high school sweetheart, Beatrice Quiroz Trejo, the love of his life for 68 years.  He was a Cartographer with Edgar Tobin Aerial Survey for most of his life, and later retired to enjoy time with his wife and grandchildren. He treasured the beautiful memories he created with his family throughout his time on this earth. His face would light up when he saw his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and greeted them with "MY BABY" or "HAPPY BIRTHDAY -- every day is your birthday when you're here." He made each one of them feel so special, like they were his number 1.

Santos is preceded in death by his parents, Santos P. Trejo, Sr. and Maria Macias Trejo; siblings,  H.A. Ibarra, Henry E. Ibarra, Herminia De Anda, Mary M. Soto, Gilbert V. Trejo and  Carmen Valdez.

Santos is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Beatrice Q Trejo; his children,  Santos Q. Trejo, III (Maria), Patricia T .Mata, Deborah A. Barela (Jesse), and Gabriel A. Trejo (Shannon); his 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Trejo, Selena Allen, Sean Trejo, Eric E. Mata, Matthew Barela (Amanda), Jessica Bolin (Chaaz), Victoria Barela, Gabrielle Trejo, Sky Trejo; 10 great-grandchildren, Samantha Trejo, Secilia Zuniga, Serena Mosqueda, Summer Mosqueda, Sevin Sweatts, Abrianna Mata, Sabrinna Carreon, Eric A. Mata, Sabien Trejo; Beckett Bolin; 1 great-great-grandchild, Braidyn Zuniga; his siblings, Mary Louise Bojorquez, Beatrice Segovia and Margaret Arredondo; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Husband, Daddy, Grampa, Great-Grampa and Brother, you are truly loved and will be tremendously be missed. Forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace.
