Shina Takahashi Guidry age 90 was called home on 28 August 2020 . She was born in Tochigi Ken, Japan on January 18, 1930.

Shina was married in Japan on 17 October 1958.  She came to the United States in 1970 and had two sons, Steven W. Guidry and Michael A Guidry. Not long after receiving her certification of Naturalization in America (1967) her husband became ill and passed away in 1971, leaving her here and alone to raise two small boys. Shina was an incredibly amazing , independent,  and strong-minded woman who loved her children, and grandchildren with an unconditional and fiercely loyal passion. While raising her sons, she graduated with an associates in upholstery from St Phillip's college. Shina demonstrated the true meaning of grace, perseverance and unconditional love for her friends and family.  She was friendly to all who crossed her path and had an endless surplus of candy in her purse for everyone she spoke to.  Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Shina will miss her tremendously and she will continue to live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Shina is preceded by her husband Daniel Frank Guidry, her son Michael Alan Guidry and grandson Matthew Taylor Guidry. She leaves behind her son Steven Wayne Guidry,  grandson Daniel T. Guidry & his wife Alexandra E. Guidry, daughter in law, Elizabeth A. Guidry.

We ask you to join us to celebrate a wonderful blessing that was Shina's life.   Family will receive friends and loved ones Saturday, September 19, 2020 12 pm - 2 pm at Castillo Mission Funeral. The memorial service will commence at 3:00 pm.
