Silviano T.
Salas
May 4, 1935 – January 28, 2020
Silviano T. Salas was called home to Jesus on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the age of 84 with family by his side. Silviano or "Sil" was born on May 4, 1935 in Seguin, Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Dolores Salas, his three sons Carlos, David and Mark Anthony, two grandchildren Caresa and Kevin and several extended family members.
As a proud owner of his own Barbershop, Sil spent countless years contributing to his community while making many friends with anyone who stopped by for a haircut. He earned the trust and loyalty from many customers through his loving heart, generosity, and compassion for others. He will forever be remembered and missed by those who were lucky enough to know him.
Silviano cherished the beauty of nature and music. He spent his times with his wife driving through the streets of San Antonio reminiscing about the past and never forgetting where he came from. Together they shared a love of music and nature, often attending musical events and driving around town feeding any wandering deer. Around the house, Sil could be heard singing a classic Mexican song or speaking about his favorite singer Jorge Negrete.
Silviano often shared stories of his childhood, his life and happiest memories with his family. It is through these moments his surviving family members will carry on his legacy. Each family member will carry a piece of Sil though their own art, music, pride, and love.
"In one of those stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend...I shall not leave you."
