Simon Casiano, 89, widower to Evelia Casiano, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January22, 2024, at his residence in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 6, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Maria and Simon Casiano.

Simon accomplished much in life with the strength of his family. As a son and brother he was one to always be counted on. As a husband he was caring and protective, valuing the needs of his wife above his own. As a father and grandfather, he was the best anyone could ask for, a source of laughter and guidance who was always present. His life and legacy will be treasured and remembered always.

In addition to his wife of 53 years Evelia Casiano, and his parents Maria Casiano and Simon Casiano, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Adela C Martinez and two sons, Ruben Casiano and Simon Casiano Jr.

Family members include his sons, Billy (Aurora) Casiano, Rudy (Christina) Casiano and Roland (Julie) Casiano; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for the rosary service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 am in Holy Family Catholic Church. The burial will follow with a graveside service in San Fernando Cemetery II.
