A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Sotero Lopez was joined with the Lord on May 21,2025 at the age of 88.  He was born in Marion, Texas on April 22, 1937.  He was a good and hard working man, and a man of few words.  He loved working in his yard, creating landscapes.  He will be missed by many.  He is preceded in death by his wife Olga Lopez, parents Isidro, and Herminia Lopez.  Brothers Epimeno, Geronimo. Rosendo, Juan, Robert.  Sisters Juanita, Esperanza. And Guadalupe.  He is loved and missed by his children : Sotero Lopez, Jr., Matilde, Christina. Able, and Kathy.  Brothers: Cirildo, and Albert Lopez, 11 grand children, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.  Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.  Funeral procession departs from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3,2025 for a 10:30 a.m. mass of Christian burial at St. Jude Catholic Church Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II service under the direction of Castillo Funeral Home.
