SPC Steven Rey Ybarra entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the age of 36 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 16, 1984 to Frank Ybarra and Leticia Almanza. Steven is reunited in Heaven with his maternal grandmother Elvira Arriaga. Steven will be deeply missed by his entire family and all who knew him. He leaves his legacy to be cherished by his loving parents Frank Ybarra and Letty Almanza; his beautiful daughter Adelina Rae Ybarra and her mother, Cara Denise Godin; sister Jenny Ybarra and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 3:30 until 7:30pm with a Prayer Service at 5:30pm. Family and friends will meet at Castillo Mission Funeral Home to depart in procession at 8:00am for a 9:00 Graveside service at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
