Obituary

On Monday October 19, 2020, Stanley Ray Bala gained his angel wings at the age of 77. Born on July 27, 1943 to Eunice Mae Woods and Stanley Bala in Granada Mississippi, he was the second of four children and grew up in Louisiana.

At the age of 18, Stan enlisted in the US Air Force. He honorably served in the US Air Force REGAF 3646 Support Squadron (ATC) Fire Patrol from August 4, 1961 to January 17 th , 1964.

In 1964, Stan met the love of his life Rosalinda Ozuna. They were married on January 23, 1965 in Del Rio Texas. They had four children Richard Stanley Bala, Deborah Darlene Bala, Katherine Elizabeth Bala, and Cynthia Michelle Bala.

Stan was a proud trucker traveling the entire continental US and Canada. He loved driving and taking his family on his travels creating many wonderful memories. Stan was an amazing human being who would drop everything to come to your rescue. He was helpful, down to earth, extremely humble, a great teacher and an awesome mentor. Stan was greatly loved and cherished by all.

Stan was preceded in death by his mother Eunice Mae Woods, step-father James Maiden, brother-in-law Bobby Hobson, granddaughter's Kimberly Rose Moreno and Brianna Brandy Bala, grandson Joshua Isaiah Moreno, great great grandson Giovanni George Caballero Jr, and daughter Katherine Elizabeth Bala.

Stan is survived by his wife Rose, son Rick, daughters Debbie and Cindy, sister Virgie Lee Hobson, brother Willie Earl Bala, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 1 st at Castillo Mission Funeral Home located at 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio TX 78228 from 3 pm - 7 pm with services beginning at 6 pm. Stan will be laid to rest at San Fernando Cemetery III located at 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio TX 78226 on Monday November 2 nd services at Castillo Mission Funeral Home at 10 am with precession to gravesite thereafter.
