Stella V. Gil, 79, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 6, 2025. She was born in Mart, Texas, to Angelina G. Villarreal and George P. Villarreal.

Stella was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Daniel G. Gil, and her grandson, Alberto Valdez Jr. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy and purpose in caring for her family.

A dedicated homemaker, Stella also supported the family's businesses and was deeply involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest pride, and her love for them knew no bounds.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Gil Jr. and David Gil (Diana); daughters, Sofie SanMiguel (George), Martha DePena (Robert), and Cynthia Rodriguez (Ray); 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on May 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78228. The funeral procession will depart at 10:00 am on May 21, 2025 for a graveside service at 10:30 am at San Fernando Cemetery III.
