Steve McGarity Jr. was born on the 17th of January 1988 and went to be with our Lord on the 25th of May 2026 at the age of 38, surrounded by his Mom and family.

He was a devoted father, son, brother and friend whose presence brought strength, warmth and love to his family. He had a compassionate charm that extended beyond words. He gave time, encouragement and a listening ear to his family and friends.

Steve Jr is survived by his beloved children, Aaliyah, Sasha and Jeremiah whom were the light and the center of his life. He is loved and remembered by his Mother Annette and his Step-Dad Tony, his siblings Santiago Valadez, Amy Valadez, Stephanie McGarity, & Bobby McGarity, his father Steve, his maternal grandparents Gilbert & Hercilia Vasquez, many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles who will cherish his memory. He will be reunited in heaven with his grandparents Louis & Georgina McGarity and his Uncle Gilbert Vasquez Jr.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, June 01, 2026 at Castillo Funeral Home , 520 N. Gen McMullen with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. Services conclude this evening.

Steve Jr left us way too soon. His legacy, his friendship, his love for his family will always be remembered.
