In Loving Memory of Steve Sandoval was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 18th, 1975 and called home to the Lord on June 27th, 2026.
He was a devoted father, beloved grandfather, cherished son, and friend to many. He was the proud father of three children, Nicole Sandoval, Steven Sandoval, and Eric Sandoval, and a loving grandfather to Roman Ramlose. He also leaves behind his parents, Jose Eusebio Sandoval and Maria G. Gamez .His passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved him, but his life leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, laughter, and love. Steve was truly one of a kind. He never knew a stranger and had a story for everything. He could talk to anyone, and if the trees could have talked back, he would have had a conversation with them too. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and welcomed Helping others came naturally to Steve. Whether through coaching, encouragement, or quiet acts of kindness, he was always willing to lend a hand. If someone needed help, he was there, often giving generously of his time, energy, and heart. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation.
Many will remember Steve for his quick wit, unforgettable one-liners, and the way he could bring laughter into almost any moment. He had a gift for making heavy days feel lighter and ordinary moments more memorable. A lifelong fan of sports and the outdoors, Steve carried that same passion, energy, and determination into every part of his life. Throughout his life, Steve continued to grow, both personally and professionally. He spent 17 years at SAWS, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. He later had the courage to take a new path in the oil field before eventually opening his own utility company. Over the years, he built a reputation as one of the hardest workers his colleagues knew and relied on. He worked hard to provide for his family, but his life’s work was loving people. Although our hearts are broken by his absence, we are profoundly grateful for the gift of his life and lessons. Steve reminded us that true greatness is not measured by wealth, status, or recognition, but by the lives we touch and the love we give. He showed us that kindness is never wasted, that faith is best lived through our actions, and that serving others is one of life’s highest callings .His legacy lives on in every person he encouraged, every burden he helped carry, every lesson he taught by example, and every heart made better because they knew him. The greatest way we can honor him is to love one another as he loved us, with compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and grace.Thank you, Steve, for showing us what it means to love without limits, to serve without complaint, and to leave every person better than you found them. Your work here is complete, but your legacy will continue in every life you touched, especially in your children and grandchildren. We love you. We will miss you every day. And we will never forget the remarkable man you were.
