We mourn the loss of our beloved Susie R. Martinez who passed on March 17, 2021. A devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend. She is preceded in death by her Father Joaquin Rendon Jr. and Mother Juanita Rendon. She is survived by her Daughter Cynthia (Bill), Grandchildren Eric and Priscilla (Ted), Great Grandchildren Lacey and Noeli, Great-Great Grandchild Avery, her Brothers Hector (Josie), Richard (Meli), Jerry (Rosario) and Rubin (Diana). Her Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and Friends, all whom she loved and who loved her will grieve.

She had a long career in retail that began as a cashier at Sanbornes and over the years advanced into Store Manager at local TG&Y, Walmart and Kress stores. Her dedication to her career awarded her a Mediterranean cruise that took her to the Middle East touring Egypt, Greece and Israel. Her love of travel whisked her across this great country in her Shasta RV visiting the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and everything in between. But her true love was the Texas Coast, where she lived for a period of time in what is affectionately called "The Little Corpus House".

Her devotion and love for family and people she cared for will be deeply missed. The memories and warm thoughts comfort us in our time of sorrow. The blessings and prayers offered are abundant and offer solace. We thank each and everyone who has been touched by Sue and extend our own prayers out to you all as well. The Kingdom of God may be brighter at this moment but the light of our world is dim without her. We love you, we remember you, we miss you.

Our family is very grateful to the dedicated team of caregivers at La Diferencia Hospice. Thank you Dr. Cisneros, Dr. Mo, Chaplin Rocky, Vanessa, Priscilla and Sylvia for all your love and care.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 3:30pm until 7:30pm with a Rosary at 5:00pm. Services to conclude Friday evening.
