In Loving Memory of Sylvia B. Ramirez
August 16, 1952 – August 25, 2026
Sylvia B. Ramirez, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, surrounded by her children. She was 74 years old. Sylvia was a loving and devoted woman whose kindness, warmth, and beautiful smile touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She spent 39 dedicated years serving the Northside Independent School District, where she became a familiar and caring presence in the community. Through her years of service, Sylvia gave not only her time and talents, but also her heart. She served her community with love and with a smile. Sylvia found joy in the simple things in life, especially music. She had a special love for the music of Elvis, which brought her happiness throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lurden and Josephine Barrientes, and her brothers, Julio and Frank Barrientes. Sylvia leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love through her children, Melanie Flores, JoeMartin Ramirez II, and Anthony Ramirez; her six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who will forever cherish her memory. Sylvia will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous spirit, her dedication to others, and the smile that could brighten a room. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to so many, and her absence will be deeply felt. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever. Sylvia will be missed tremendously and remembered always. May she rest peacefully, surrounded by the love she gave so freely to others.
