Sylvia Ann
Diaz
February 12, 1975 – September 28, 2021
Sylvia Ann Diaz was a kind gentle Soul that was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 12, 1975. On September 28,2021 she was called back home by our Heavenly Father. She was 46 years old, and in those years she touched many lives, leaving a lasting and beautiful impression.
Throughout her life Sylvia never changed who she was.Anyone that knew her felt comfortable talking to her about personal issues for they knew she was not one to criticize or pass judgement. This was one of the qualities she had that will be missed the most. Her shy smile and making light of situations is another. When you were in her company the atmosphere was just easy going and laughter. Her mission in life was to show us how it is to accept and give yourself to others. This act can be seen in the devotion and dedication she had for her children.
Sylvia was survived by her children Jasmin Rivera(30), Cody Garza(29), Pedro Saenz(22), Alexis Saenz(20), Emmett Saenz(19), Karissa Saenz(18), Ethan Saenz(17),Madison Saenz(5), and Samantha Saenz(27). Her Husband Emmett Saenz III was also a major part of her for 23 years. Her undying love and dedication for her children has left them with cherished memories. Her extended family included her Mother Florence Rodriguez, Sisters Victoria Hastey, Brieana Padilla, Grace Rodriguez, her brother in laws Timothy Hastey and Justin Padilla, her nieces Alyssa Salas, Viviana & Juliana Hastey, Aubree & Angelynn Ramos and her grandchildren Evie Rivera, Emmett Saenz, and Sage Garza.
Most of Sylvia's employment career consisted of working in Early Childhood Education as well as housekeeping in the Medical Field. For the past 7 years Sylvia worked at Santa Rosa WestOver Hills Children's Emergency Room. There she formed many relationships and was liked by many. Staff members were drawn to her bubbly personality, her beautiful smile, and the genuine person that she was. She worked Full time to provide for her family without hesitations of complaints as that was the type of person she was. She took great stride in performing exemplary cleaning due to the fact that her sister had dealt with cancer therefore, she knew the importance of it.
Sylvia will always be remembered for being a loving sister in the times when her siblings needed her the most. As the oldest of her mother's daughters, she was always compassionate in showing her younger sisters how much she loved them. Her arms were always wide open to hold them in their happiest and saddest moments in life. A shoulder to cry on, a best friend, a person you could count on; no words will ever describe how great of a loving sister she was. From her nieces whom she loved like her own, they will always miss their Auntie Sylvia.
Sylvia enjoyed making Homemade decorations for her home, as well as different crafts for the Holidays or Special celebrations. She always searched on Pinterest for the best ideas and her creations were made with all her love. She would pay attention to great detail and whatever she worked on had to look its best. If at times it wasn't just right, she would correct the problem until it was perfect, even if that meant she had to re-do it 5 or 6 times. Whether she needed an idea to make a project for her youngest daughter, make a parade float, make a centerpiece, or get decorating tips there was "Good Old Pinterest" and she loved it.
Our Beloved Sylvia was always funny in her own special way and at random moments she knew when to bring laughter into the room. She would talk or sing in funny voices, dance around a room to set the mood, or just act silly with a silly face to get a reaction out of you. She was young at heart and would say, " I'm not a Regular Mom, I'm a Cool Mom" a famous phrase from her favorite movie Mean Girls. Then there was that infamous word "Grool" that she used that some of us will never forget. Her favorite Tv show was Teen Mom and if you happened to call her on Tuesday night she was usually sitting on her couch watching a new episode
