Sylvia C. Garza passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on January 09, 2026. Sylvia was born on December 24, 1962 to Captain Erasmo and Carmen Castillo.

Sylvia is preceded in passing and will be reunited in Heaven with her Father, Captain Erasmo C. Castillo; Mother, Carmen J. Castillo; Husband Rudy Garza; Brother Richard Ibarra.

She will be dearly missed by her son Rudy Garza IV (Stephanie); Daughter Brittany Guerrero (Felipe); Grandchildren, Rudy Garza V, Matthew Guerrero, Faith Guerrero, and Grace Guerrero; siblings Erasmo Castillo, Linda Gonzalez, and Jeanette Medina; as well as extended numerous family and friends. Her memory and legacy will continue to live on through them.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she is now resting in God's eternal embrace, reunited with loved ones, and watching over her family with the same love she gave so selflessly on earth.
