Sylvia Ann Gonzales, 59, died early Friday morning, February 3, 2023, in North East Methodist Hospital, San Antonio Texas. She was born on August 20, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas to Maria Dolores Flores and the late Bernardo Reyes.

She made impressions on those who knew her through her beauty, grace, and ability to handle any situation that came her way. Her generosity was boundless as she was someone who was there for anyone who needed support, encouragement, and guidance. Sylvia cherished her time on earth surrounded by those she cared for most. As a beloved, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, she will be missed tremendously and remembered forever by all who knew her.

In addition to her father, Bernardo Reyes, Sylvia was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jayden Avery Martinez.

Family members include her children, Jaime Martinez Jr, Tisha Diaz (Michael Diaz), and James Avery Martinez; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Maria Dolores Flores; siblings, Felipe Flores, Will R. Flores, Christina Flores, and Ernesto Neto Flores; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home for visitation. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm.

Family and friends will meet at San Fernando II Cemetery at 10:30 am on Friday, February 24, 2023, for a graveside service concluding with burial.
