Sylvia G. Hutchinson was cherished and loved by many. She passed without pain in the arms of her family into the wide open and welcoming arms of God on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the blessed age of 81. Sylvia was born on August 15, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Irene Garza, her husband Jesse C. Hutchinson, son Jesse Hutchinson Jr., and daughters Valerie Rae Hutchinson and JoAnn Hutchinson, along with other family members who are hugging her tightly at this moment. She achieved so much in her life but felt her family was her biggest accomplishment. Sylvia is survived by her loving daughters Debra Lynn Holguin (Ralph Holguin III), Lisa Hutchinson (Raul Trevino III), and Sylvia Michelle Hutchinson (Mario Ortiz Jr.); Grandchildren Valerie Rae Hutchinson Finley, Paige Hutchinson Barrow, Samantha Lynn Rovirosa, Kellie Nicole Holguin, Jesse Jared Ortiz, and Mario Christian Ortiz III; great- grandchildren Elaina Rovirosa and Natalie Rovirosa.
Visitation to take place on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Family and friends to depart in procession at 10:00am from Castillo Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 for a 10:30am Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
