Born on October 13, 1955, in San Antonio, TX. Sylvia passed away in Pleasanton, TX on April 24, 2021, at the age of 65 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Y. Pecina and Amelia Galaviz. She is also preceded in death by her brother Joseph Patrick Rocha and her Godmother/ former mother-in-law Maria Aranda Davila. She is loved by and mother to her only daughter Christina Ami Davila of San Antonio, TX, her cat Bandit, and her grand-cats Pookee, Oliver, ChunkyMonkey, and Bagheera. She is loved by her surviving family including her stepmother Socorro Pecina, sisters: Virginia Pecina, Gina Morris, Betty Bonnet, Norma G. Pecina, and Debra Rocha. She also is survived by her loving brother Robert David Pecina. She was loved by many different family members including many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews including Vince and Kristina Rivera, Robert David Pecina Jr., Tia Rosa, Tio Tony, and many other relatives. Throughout her life, Sylvia was a vibrant person. Sylvia was an LVN by profession, but her real career and accomplishment was her faith.

Funeral services will be held on May 7th and 8th, 2021. Visitation and Rosary will be held on May 7, 2021, at Mission Castillo funeral home beginning at 2:30pm with the Rosary at 6:00pm and services will conclude that day at 7:30pm. Graveside services will be held at St. Andrew's cemetery #2 in Pleasanton, TX at 11:00am on May 8,2021.
