Sylvia G. Ramirez entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the blessed age of 79. Sylvia was born on February 4, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas to Juan and Margaret Gonzalez.

Sylvia was a hardworking wife and mother. She balanced her home and professional life until her retirement from Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) San Antonio. She enjoyed traveling to the beach with her loving husband Guadalupe. After retirement, Sylvia loved to spend her free time with family, especially cheering for her grandson at his sporting events. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed playing dominoes, and solving Rubik's cube puzzles. Sylvia loved to relax downtown at Market Square and read a book, enjoy a beer, shop around, or visit with family there.

Sylvia is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Guadalupe Ramirez, her parents Juan and Margaret Gonzalez, and her brother John R. Gonzalez. Sylvia's loving heart and family traditions will be carried on by her one and only son, Rick Lopez (Lucy Lopez); her only grandson, Noah Lopez; sister, Marie Farias; and her nieces Elaine Rivas and Cynthia Duckworth; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart in procession on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, for an 11:00am Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
