Sylvia Tarin Tellez, 75, was born on October 10, 1946, in Minnesota. She died unexpectedly on, December 14, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents: Solomon Tellez Sr. and Felicitas Tarin Tellez, her brothers, Solomon Jr., Alfredo, Jose, Rodolfo, and sisters Martha, Janie, Susie. She is survived by her brother Manuel T. Tellez of, Harriman, Tennessee.

Sylvia graduated from Brackenridge High School, Class of 1964. Following graduation, she entered the Peace Corps and traveled extensively. When she finished her service, Sylvia returned to San Antonio. She was employed at Kelly AFB and retired after 35 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed dining at her favorite restaurants, shopping at the Pearl, Target, local thrift shops, attending concerts, and going to the movies. Sylvia, always young at heart, loved to visit Brackenridge Park and ride the Brackenridge Eagle.

She was a strong, independent woman and influenced younger generations by mentoring them on fulfilling their potential. She was a devoted Catholic and regularly attended St. Henry's Church. Her lively spirit, generous heart, and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
