Obituary

Teresa G. Hernandez was called to be with the lord on May 26, 2022 at the blessed age 82.

The last few days of her battle with Cancer, she fought to stay alive to give the greatest birthday gift to her eternal love, Samuel S Hernandez, in heaven.
Teresa was proceeded in death by her mother Anita Viesca, brother Ernest Viesca and husband Samuel S Hernandez
Teresa was survived by her son, Jesse Anthony Gonzalez; daughters, Sonia A. Luna and Sofia Hernandez; grandson, Lawence  R Castillo Jr; sisters, Juanita Gutierrez, Linda Alcoser, Jesusita Hernandez and Esperanza Zamudio; brother, Fermine Viesca; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, along with her "adopted daughters and sons."
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Teresa knew that she was the most loving and caring person anyone could meet. She would take the shirt off her back to help anyone out. She loved to cook, bake and make people laugh. Most of all, she loved her micheladas.
Teresa's last month of battling Cancer, she was blessed to have her "adopted daughter, Jennifer Rosas" care for her and be at her side. Jennifer assured her that we will fight this battle to the end and not to give up!
Teresa was a very strong women, she was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on MONDAY, JUNE 13, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at 6 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

A Funeral Procession will depart the Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. on TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 2022, for a 9:30 a.m. Graveside Service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter 4.
