With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thelma R Dueñas, who passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 53 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Thelma was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, a proud aunt, and a fiercely loyal friend. She spent much of her life selflessly caring for her parents, offering them support, compassion, and love. She played a beautiful and nurturing role in the lives of her nieces and nephew, who adored her as their fun, vibrant, and always-stylish aunt.

A true fashionista with a bold and unforgettable sense of style, Thelma lived life with flair. Whether it was a daring outfit, a unique accessory, or a radiant smile, she had a way of turning heads.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo and Josefa Duenas. She is survived by her two brothers - Efrain and spouse Anna, Bernard and spouse Michelle, her nieces, nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends who will deeply miss her wit, warmth, and one-of-a-kind spirit.

Her life was a beautiful expression of strength, grace, and authenticity. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that she is reunited in Heaven with her parents and that her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N General McMullen, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Wednesday July 23 2025, at 9:15 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass at San Martin de Porres, 1730 Dahlgreen Ave. Interment to follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd.
