Tomy B.
Zuniga Ordonez
August 3, 1944 – November 19, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomy B. Zuniga Ordonez, a beloved wife and mother, who left us on November 19, 2025. Born August 3, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1962.
Tomy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frank Ordonez, daughters Monica (Raul) Rodriguez and Stephanie (Ernest) Gonzales; grandchildren Brandon Romo, Briann Martinez, Serena (Luther) Gonzales; and great-grandchildren Kyro Romo and Airek Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents Dioniso and Maria Zuniga, sisters Juanita Villarreal, Cathy Zuniga, and Betsy Valdez. She is survived by her siblings Virginia Zuniga, Vickie Haese, Mary Lou Montour, Rosie Haese, Frank Zuniga, Donny Zuniga, Gabriel Zuniga, Joe Zuniga, and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Tomy worked as a medical receptionist for more than 50 years and received a certification to be a nurses aide, making countless of friends among both patients and coworkers. She loved helping people and always greeted people with kindness. She eventually retired from the medical field she loved so much. Her daughters cherished being able to call her for advice and opinions, especially when they needed medical advice. Outside of work, Tomy could talk on the phone for hours, catching up with family and friends.
Tomy's faith was a central part of her life. She received a certification from King Bible Institute from Destiny Church where she studied both the Old and New Testament. She loved attending services, praying with others, arriving early to greet and serve a warm cup of coffee to the clergy. She enjoyed spending her time making jewelry, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and painting ceramics. She also loved listening to music, especially Christian worship songs and her favorite, George Strait.
Tomy's loving spirit will be deeply missed, but forever held in the hearts of her family. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, whole and restored in the presence of the Lord.
