On January 22, 2021, Tony P. Cabral entered the gates of Heaven peacefully at the age of 87. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. (Tony was born in Hutchinson, KS, on January 19, 1934.) He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria A. Cabral and their four children; Debra A. Cabral, Steven A. Cabral, David A. Cabral, and Rhonda J. Cabral. His grand-children Nicole Gonzales, Jessica Rios, David Martin Jr., Alex Cabral, Steven Cabral Jr., Jonathan Fosler, Paul Cabral, Ashely Bates, Sabrina Cabral, Nikki Padilla, Anthony Castillo, Brittany Castillo, Cristina Cabral, Zabian Cabral, Davina Cabral, David Cabral Jr., and twenty-nine great grand-children. He is welcomed in Heaven by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Guadalupe Cabral, his sisters; Terry, Anita, and his brother Paul. His living siblings; Estevan, Francis, Bonnie, Louis, Ernie, and Honorary Paul Bearer, Eddie Pena.

Tony served and retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years. He has served in Okinawa, Japan, Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He did 3 tours in Vietnam; 1 ^st tour 1967 to 1968, 2 ^nd 1969 to 1970, and his 3 ^rd tour 1971 to 1973. While in the Army he served as a Platoon Sergeant with the 1 ^st Cavalry Division Infantry and Anti-Aircraft Artillery. He was awarded numerous Bronze Stars for Heroism, Meritor Service, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantry badge, Air Medal with one Oak Leaf, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese Service Ribbon and four overseas bars; each representing 6 months of combat. After retiring from the army, Tony then went on to work another 13 years with Southern Pacific Railroad retiring as a Conductor.

If you would like to pay your respects to Tony P. Cabral and his family, services will be held on February 14 ^th & 15 ^th from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM. He'll be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery.
